February 2018 || Free 52
Hello friends!
Welcome to February's Free 52 share! A blog circle, sharing our freelensed images each month. I have to admit, I only picked up my camera three times this entire month, with the exception of my trip to Click Away. (more to come on that trip because it was good for my inner creative soul and I want to share)
Despite the creative boost, energizing weekend, and time spent with friends (new and old)....and nice weather in FLORIDA!....I've been lacking the push to pick up my camera. Not entirely sure of the reason. I like to think that I've needed to put my energies into several other areas of my life this month, and shooting just hasn't been one. (though I'm dying for the push to get me back to it) Anyways, without further ado....on to February. And remember to complete the blog circle, please travel on to the awesome Lauren Jensen next and follow the circle back to me!
First up is a family trip to Battle Ground Lake State Park. It was COLD, but finally it wasn't raining, so we took advantage of it! My fingers felt like they were going to fall off at the end!
Next, was documentation of the ONE snow day that we had. Which resulted in one day off from school, sledding on a muddy hill, and lots of laundry!
The third time I picked up my camera to freelens was for a monthly self portrait loop that I am part of over on Instagram. In theory I have a goal of getting in the frame once per week....but I am three weeks short this month and have some catch up to do! However, I am super happy I have these images with my little boy. I will always treasure them. My favorite is the one that he is just laying on the bed holding my thumb. This has been his thing since he was born. Never wanted a blanket or stuffie. Just a thumb to pick at and hold <3
And just because I know you want a Click Away teaser....right....??? I didn't freelens too much as I was trying out new lenses, taking creative portraiture classes utilizing other techniques and trying my hand in some video classes! I snuck a few in...here are a few faves from the very few that I've edited!
